Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to my course?

Comfortable clothing is recommended.  If you have an apron or chefs coat, then it’s a good idea to bring it along to protect your clothes, and long hair should be tied back. Please refrain from wearing strong colones or perfumes, due to other students who may have allergies to fragrances.

Do I get a certificate at the end?

Yes, at the end of each course you will be given a certificate to verify that you have successfully completed a class.

What do I do about lunch? Will there be a break?

Students will have regular breaks for refreshments throughout the day – hot and cold drinks will be available in your classroom. You will also have a 1 hour break for lunch and a light lunch of sandwiches or salads will be provided, depending on length of courses. You may prefer to bring a packed lunch with you or purchase something locally. There are plenty of good places to purchase lunch within a 3 -4  miles of the studio.

Do you offer private classes, is this possible?

Yes. We offer individual tuition for students of every level, from the very beginning student, commercial cake decorating to professionals needing more intense courses. The tuition depends on the student requirements, whether brushing up on existing skills, learning new skills or requiring help with a particular cake.

This is also a good time for refreshments and to meet your classmates before your class begins.

What to expect the last day of class?

You will be finishing your class project and packing for your trip home. Please do not make any return airline reservations the last day of a class, this allows you time to prepare to return home and not rushing last minute.
