Overview / Class Description
During Lambeth 101, Kathleen will be teaching the Old-World Joseph Lambeth Method, while modernizing with her own techniques. Basic Lambeth Techniques will be covered during Lambeth 101. Each student will be completing at least four sections on their individual cake dummy, learning six to eight different borders /designs or more.
Students attending Lambeth 101 will be learning the following:
• How to hold the bag and tips properly
• To be exact with every squeeze of their decorating bag
• How to start the correct foundation for Lambeth
• How to master the perfect zigzag shell, scroll, swag and puff & elongated puff borders
• 3 dimensional over-piping techniques
• Bead/pearl borders,
• Embellishing techniques
• Stringwork; how to pipe and apply stringwork
*Note: Students must attend Lambeth 101 Boot Camp, prior to attending Lambeth 201, 301 or 401.
During this course, all borders are shown; depending on each individual student and the skill level, depends on how much the individual student will be able to complete and finish.
This is a VERY ADVANCED TECHNIQUE each student is learning and requires students to practice after attending the classes to perfect the techniques.
International students may not be able to do an entire project cake due to air travel; we will do smaller practice pieces depending on individual travel arrangements, space, etc.

Lange / Lambeth Method Basic & Master Course (On-going) FULL -

Overview / Class Description
This is a Basic (or) Master Course - This class is designed to be an ongoing course for students to learn at their own pace, work on a project cake or learn basic piping in order to complete a Master Course or to improve your design and decorating skills in piping.
To complete a Master Course- Each session will consist of 5 classes, once a week for 5 weeks; a total of 10 sessions to complete the entire 150 hour master course.
Within each 5 week session, students will complete 1 to 2 project cakes. Throughout the master course, a total of ten or more project cakes will be completed using royal icing for overpiping, stringwork, and floral decorations. Homework will be required to complete projects.
The final course project is a three tier, Lambeth wedding cake, which completes the master course. At the end of the course, a Certificate of Completion in the Lange Method will be obtained.
This comprehensive course consist of traditional Lambeth Method techniques with the added Kathleen Lange romantic flair and style she is well recognized in her classes.
The complete Master Course includes everything The Lmabeth Method and Kathleen Lange is know for; advanced piped borders, puffs, ruffles, overpiping, stringwork, lacework, cushions, flowers, run-outs, gum paste, figure piping and much more!
Kathleen encourages practice and repetition to master Lambeth Method piping techniques and to prefect the techniques and skills shown in class.
